my apologies

If I’ve spammed anyone’s feed in the past few days, I want to apologize.

I’ve been updating tags on my posts to make them easier to search. All my research suggested I could do this without re-deploying old posts to my RSS.

However, fresh comments this morning suggest that this is not the case. For what it’s worth I’ve finished updates, I’m back to my weekly Wednesday schedule.

Again: deeply sorry, and I’ll do my homework better next time!

  1. Saw ’em but knew what you were doing and wasn’t bothered by it at all … after all, you were cataloguing your posts! (brought a happy tear to my eye, that did). I actually ended up re-reading some of those older posts just because seeing them reminded me of how interesting they’d been the first time around. 🙂

(and one of those re-reads had me trying to recall if, when you originally posted about past attitudes and vocabulary relating to mental conditions/illnesses, whether or not I’d ever pointed you towards “Disability: a new history” at http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b021mdwt (podcast version episodes are also free downloads). Its focus is historical attitudes towards physical disabilities, with lots of primary sources referenced, but it’s very likely that each era would have had similar responses to both.

  2. Thanks for understanding. Fortunately I wasn’t tagging all, or going all the way back!

Thanks for the BBC link! I’ll check this out.
